Merlot and Cabs Sauvignon are the base for this ripe, dense and rich Bolgheri blend. The intensity is impressive and so is the overall density and persistence of the finish. Pair this wine with hearty dishes, such as sausage and slow-cooked lentils.
The 2007 Sondraia reveals tons of Bolgheri character in its warm, sunny fruit. Espresso, blackberries and French oak meld together in a radiant, expressive red that caresses the palate with layers of ample fruit. This is a gorgeous effort from Poggio al Tesoro and a very classic, representative red from Maremma.
