"The relatively cooler temps of the 2017 vintage are obvious on this Sauvignon Blanc, where aromas of green beans and jalapeño peppers mix with guava and grapefruit rind, followed closely by a solid whiff of salty sea air. The palate is equally saline, with a lovely satiny texture and lemony acidity. A wine for oysters if there ever was one."
"Combining hints of passion fruit and gooseberry, the 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is a textbook example of what Marlborough can deliver but rarely does. A bit of cut grass adds green to the tropical-fruit mix without going overboard in this medium-bodied, silky-textured wine. It should drink well for a year or two."
"This wine is initially marked by scents of charred oak and espresso beans. With aeration, the cherry fruit become more apparent. It's medium to full in body, with silky yet firm tannins that reflect the vineyard's clay soils."
"Fermented in a seasoned 3,000-liter oak vat, this doesn't show overt wood flavors, instead revealing hints of ramps and sweat accenting passion fruit. Medium bodied, it offers fascinating textural interplay between creaminess from lees contact and vibrant acidity."
"A blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay, the NV Cuvee Brut is made in the traditional method and disgorged after 3 years on lees. It opens with a lovely aromas of lemon curd, white peach and clotted cream-topped scones with hints of wild strawberries and buttered toast. Very fine, graceful and harmonious in the mouth, it has small, frisky bubbles and a long finish. Bottled Oct 2010, it was disgorged May 2014. 2500-3000 cases made."
