Review “The 2017 Fourcas-Borie turned out beautifully. Rich, ample and creamy, the 2017 possesses terrific depth to match its sensual, mid-weight personality. This is an especially overt style, with plenty of textural richness from the oak, but the wood has integrated nicely over the course of the wine's élevage. I would prefer to enjoy this plump, juicy Fourcas-Borie over the next few years, while the fruit remains vibrant.”

Review “The 2017 Fourcas-Borie is fuller and more generous on the nose compared to the Ducluzeau with tobacco-tinged red fruit, slightly tertiary in style with moderate intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity and gentle grip towards the fleshy finish. A delightly mid-term Listrac from Bruno Borie and his team.”

Review “Deep cherry red. Lively cassis nose, open and vibrant and just a little bit leafy in a good way. Lots of fruit up front with a touch of chocolate on the finish. Not especially long but rounded and fruity. Tannins are still a little firm for drinking now but all in balance.” (16.5 out of 20 points)

Review “Another brilliant Listrac from the talented Bruno Borie, the 2018 Château Fourcas-Borie checks in as 77% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot, all from more clay and limestone soils (which is different from the Ducluzeau Listrac release from Borie). It offers more elegance and purity, with pretty notes of wild strawberries, black raspberries, white flowers, and graphite. Medium to full-bodied, elegant, and seamless on the palate, it’s another terrific wine that’s ideal for drinking over the coming decade.”

Review “My money is on the 2016 Château Fourcas-Borie being the wine of the vintage in Listrac, It’s rare to find a Listrac with this level of depth and richness. Smoking notes of blackcurrants, black cherries, and graphite all emerge from this medium-bodied effort that has terrific mid-palate concentration, ripe tannins, and a brilliant finish. Want to taste the best from Listrac? Buy this wine.”

Review “The 2016 Fourcas-Borie has a more floral bouquet than its stablemate Ducluzeau, presenting a mixture of red and black fruit tinged with peony and incense. The palate is underpinned by fine tannin and a beautiful bead of acidity. This feels linear and quite grippy in the mouth, and the graphite-tinged finish lingers nicely. Superb.”

Review “Blended of 75% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Sauvignon and 9% Petit Verdot, the medium garnet-purple colored 2017 Fourcas-Borie has a lovely floral nose of violets and lavender with a core of crushed raspberries, blackberries and cassis plus a waft of underbrush. The palate is medium-bodied, chewy and lively with earthy layers and an herbal lift on the finish.” (87-89 Points)
