“Medium red-ruby. Primary aromas of cassis, blackberry, licorice, dark chocolate and spicy oak, lifted by a minty quality. A supple, suave midweight with a restrained sweetness to its blackberry, fig and spice flavors. Nicely integrated acidity and a fine dusting of toothcoating tannins give the wine a solid underpinning. Finishes with lingering nutty and figgy nuances.”
Bright ruby-red. Blackberry, black cherry, licorice, wild herbs and building oak on the nose. Chewy and a bit medicinal, showing a restrained sweetness to the licorice and chocolatey oak flavors. In a rather old-fashioned style, offering good texture but some pepper and herbal greenness.
Dense and intense up front, with superficial scratchy aromas that come across rough and scattered. The palate is resiny and oaky, with creamy tannins and oak-influenced flavors of sweet berry and vanilla. Finishes fiery and woody.

Good full ruby. Blackberry, blueberry pie filling, licorice and mocha on the slightly medicinal nose. Sweet, supple and rather suave, with good texture and depth to the dark berry and dark chocolate flavors. Nicely concentrated wine, and not overly sweet. Finishes with hints of mocha and coffee.
Red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry, plum, licorice and woodsmoke. Ripe acidity gives clarity and vinosity to the dark fruit and licorice flavors. Not complex but offers good intensity and balance. Dryish in a positive way, finishing with fine-grained tannins and modest lift.
