Villa Maria Private Bin Pinot Noir

Villa Maria Private Bin Pinot Noir

Wine Description

Pinot Noir is a red grape which has found in New Zealand a home away from home. Intense, elegant and fruit-driven in style, Pinot Noir is an extremely food friendly wine which may exhibit an array of vibrant flavors including red fruit, plum, cherry, currant, often with notes of clove and spice.

The Private Bin Pinot Noir is a blend from specially chosen vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys. The varying soil types, meso-climates offer different tannin structures, flavors and aromas to the wine.

Acclaim
"This is a bouncy, fresh weeknight Pinot from one of New Zealand’s most well known names. It’s a vivid cherry in both color and aroma, with some stalky, spicy, savory notes along for the ride. The palate is light bodied with crispy acidity, tart red berry flavors and savory undertones. Drink slightly chilled in the spring or summer."
— Wine Enthusiast, Nov 2021
“Lovely lifted notes of lavender, clove and spice. Damson notes, ripened cherry. Rich, yet subtle. Crisp, refreshing – a coiled spring with great potential.”– (Silver Medal)
