Tramin Unterebner

Unterebner Pinot Grigio Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

This is not your typical Pinot Grigio. Made using hand-selected grapes from the Unterebner vineyard in Alto Adige, the wine is refined in large oak casks. After seven to eight months of lees contact, the resulting wine is rich, refined and elegant.

Acclaim
“This is not the Pinot Grigio you’re used to — and that’s a good thing. This wine has a distinct sweetness of subtle vanilla. It has low acidity, so it rests on the palate before showing its broad mouthfeel. It’s very balanced and very different. Instead of a meal, I would hang out with this bottle and a legit and varied local meat-and- cheese plate.”
— Vinepair, Dec 2020
“A well-knit, light-bodied white, with lively acidity and a stony mineral underpinning driving flavors of green pear and almond blossom, while spicy notes of ginger and white pepper linger on the finish.”
— Wine Spectator, Sep 2019
