Wine Description

Castel Turmhof Lagrein is named after the estate castle which dates back to the 12th century. The wine is made from 100% Lagrein, grown on choice slopes of the estate vineyards. The wine is fermented in stainless steel, and then aged to perfection in French barriques and oak barrels.

Acclaim
The 2009 Lagrein Castel Turmhof bursts onto the palate with dark berries, underbrush, licorice and tar. It shows gorgeous purity and roundness in a sleek, beautiful expression of Lagrein. Stone fruit, minerals and cassis linger on the juicy finish.
