Terranoble Azara Carmenere

Gran Reserva Carmenere bottle image

Wine Description

The grapes for this wine come from the Maule Valley,  located at the foot of the Andes mountains in the Southern part of the Central Valley. This Carmenere is an expression of the terroir. The grapes were harvested in April with a complete level of maturity to show all their aromatic potential. The wine was aged in oak barrels and stainless steel tanks for 12 months.

Acclaim
“Fresh and lively with a light touch of smoke from the oak, but mostly its herbal and juicy. For beef empanadas.”
— Patricio Tapia, Jul 2016
“Bright purple. Deeply pitched black and blue fruit scents are sharpened by suggestions of black pepper and smoky minerals. On the palate, intense cassis and bitter cherry flavors are given spine and lift by a jolt of tangy acidity. The clinging finish features supple tannins that shape the wine's plush, juicy berry flavors.”
— Vinous, Jun 2015
