This Project was born from the will of three winemakers, Jorge Moreira, Francisco Olazabal and Jorge Serôdio Borges who wanted to make a wine together.
About the Vineyard
The Dão wine region was chosen due to our shared admiration for old wines and was born during a tasting of wines from the ’60s and 70’s decade, which surprised us with their elegance and freshness. The Identity and complexity of these wines are remarkable and served as an element of inspiration to create our MOB wines, whether white or red.
The vineyards, in a total of fifteen hectares, ten located in Seia and five composed by old vines in Gouveia, are situated in one of the colder sites of the region, in the foothills of “Serra da Estrela”, the conjunction of altitude, soils, and the grape varieties of the property convinced us that it would be the right place to move forward.
Wine Production
This wine comes from vineyards located in Gouveia and Seia. It was fermented in stainless steel tanks, with soft extraction at
low temperatures. Aged for 12 months in oak barrels of 225L.
Tasting Notes
This Lote 3 seeks to be an ancient Dão with a modern approach. It is a wine with a beautiful soft color, it’s fresh and easy to
drink as the ancient wines from this region but with a more charming aroma than it’s antecessors. In the mouth has the fruit
intensity and the balance provided by modern viticulture and oenology.
