Wrongo Dongo 2019

About the Vineyard

On the border with the region of Alicante are found the vineyards of Wrongo Dongo distributed across various parcels, surrounded by mountains at an altitude of 650-700 meters. Vines are cultivated on the low system between the years 1977 to 1987. Soul consist of lime, poor in organic matter, with good surface drainage and a great capacity to retain water.

Wine Production

The growing season was characterized by the drought, however the summer was milder than usual and the Spring rains resulted in a long ripening which produced very high quality grapes.

Tasting Notes

Intense cherry color with aromas of ripe fruit, spices and chocolate. Vivid with a remarkable, fruity and balanced acidity, surprisingly elegant and fresh, with raspberry flavors, cherries,
red currants and endless persistence. Medium bodied with a long finish.

Food Pairing

Very good as it is or with grilled red meat, white meat, horseradish, smoked meat, sausages, mushrooms, beans or lentils.  Blue and ripened cheeses.
