Bujanda Gran Reserva

Vina Bujanda Gran Reserva bottle image

Wine Description

Viña Bujanda Gran Reserva, made of 100% Tempranillo, comes from Rioja Alta and Alavesa areas. Grapes are grown in clay and harvested during the first week of October. The wine is then fermented in stainless steel tanks for 12 days and aged in oak for 26 months before it is ready to enjoy. The resulting wine shows intense complexity and great aging potential.

Acclaim
“Old vines, 100% Tempranillo and 26 months in French and American oak: the bare facts don’t convey the poise and freshness of this modern style Gran Reserva, with its mocha oak, intense red and black fruits and suave tannins.”
— Tim Atkin, MW, Dec 2015
“The expansive nose offers aromas of dried red fruits, cured tobacco, vanilla and wood smoke. Gently sweet and broad on entry, then tighter in the mid-palate, offering bitter cherry and berry skin flavors and a touch of cracked pepper. Finishes seamless and focused, with gentle tannins and repeating tobacco and vanilla notes.”
— Vinous, Nov 2015
