Vermentino Solosole Toscana IGT 2007

This unique Vermentino is named Solosole ("only sun" in Italian) because only the sun is allowed to influence its aromas: there is no blending with other grapes nor wood aging to interfere with the pure flavors of Vermentino. The grapes, picked at their ideal ripeness when they are golden yellow in color, are stored overnight at 45°F and crushed the next day to preserve the freshness and purity of the fruit aromas typical of the variety.

Tasting Notes

Refined in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, Solosole offers delicate aromas of acacia flowers, apricot and banana. The vibrant acidity frames the fruity flavors and lingers pleasantly on the finish.

Food Pairing

This is the wine of choice for seafood antipasti, pasta with shellfish, ceviche, flavorful fish dishes or vegetable quiches.
