Tramin Lagrein

Lagrein Alto Adige DOC bottle image

Wine Description

Made from 100% Lagrein from southern Alto Adige, this deeply colored wine is a classic example of this ancient variety. After a short but intense maceration, the wine is aged in a combination of large oak casks and cement tanks to ensure softer tannins and greater finesse.

Acclaim
“Cantina Tramin is one of Alto Adige’s historic cooperatives comprised of one of the oldest networks of farmers forming a winery. Founded in 1889 by Pastor Christian Schrott, more than 270 growers across the communities of Tramin, Neumarkt, Montan, and Auer contribute to the grapes grown for the cooperative’s wine production. This wine is rich in color, with notes of cocoa, cinnamon, wild berries, and violets. Soft and harmonious on the palate, notes of blackberry and spice lead a full body with a velvety finish.”
