Acclaim
“There’s woefully little Gamay in Australia so when it does pop up, it’s automatically interesting by nature. Timo Mayer’s version, made naturally in minuscule quantities, certainly wouldn’t be accused of dullness. It picks up more of the whole bunch than Mayer’s Pinots. There’s a powerfully medicinal nose of sassafras root, crushed flowers, rhubarb and red berries. The tannins are taut and beautifully textured. Fresh, tangy fruit meanders to a lengthy finish.”
— Wine Enthusiast, Dec 2020
“Pretty white pepper, dried rose petal and matcha green tea notes complement the wild strawberry and cranberry flavors on an elegant, light and fresh frame, with plenty of intensity and a long finish.”
— Wine Spectator, Aug 2020
