Tilia Merlot

Tilia Merlot

Wine Description

TILIA seeks to create action around sustainable farming in Argentina and around the world. Rural life in Mendoza is rooted in a deep connection with the surrounding natural environment and the stages of life in the vineyard, interrupted without fail by the family weekend gathering for asado, our name for barbecue.

TILIA illustrates the journey toward sustainable viticulture in Argentina through its label, with the hope to inspire a movement among wine drinkers and producers all over the world. TILIA is also the first Argentine wine to carry the Bodegas de Argentina Certified Sustainable Seal on its label.
TILIA wines possess true varietal character and flavor complexity.

Acclaim
“It’s time to fall in love with merlot again, and this bottle is a good place to begin. Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, hibiscus, red cherry, black olive, strawberry and black raspberry. On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied merlot has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe medium tannin ultimately completing with a floral, medium-plus finish. There are some moments of complexity along the midpalate even as the wine is mostly straightforward. This merlot would complement many a meal and is a perfect accompaniment with roast chicken which I’m enjoying tonight.”

“Deep ruby color. Nose sports red currants and red plums with fun tones of rose and violet petals, with coffee and clove. Medium-bodied, with smooth tannins and moderate acidity. Raspberry and red cherry fruit blends well with these roasted red pepper and paprika tones, rose petals. Just fun, fresh, bright feel. Another great value here.”
