Acclaim
“Norbert and Peter Szigeti launched their winery in 1990, specializing in sparkling wines from vineyards around Lake Neusiedl, in eastern Austria. This cuvée, produced for Café Sabarsky and Neue Galerie New York, is made entirely of Chardonnay, fermented in stainless steel and left on the lees for one year. It’s pale and rich, expanding with the fine mousse to envelop the tongue in spiced apple and quince flavors. It lasts with an apple skin spice, savory and palate whetting. (Best Buy)”

BEST BUY: “The Szigeti brothers have been making sparkling wines in Gols since 1990. This chardonnay is crisp and bright, fermented entirely in stainless steel without any malolactic fermentation. Its light almond notes have a hint of yeast from the year it spent on the lees.”
