Acclaim
“Another late-harvested, cold-soaked example of its vintage, the Stadt Krems 2010 Grüner Veltliner Wachtberg Reserve weighs in at only 12.5% alcohol because sugars inexplicably plateaued in the home stretch in this site, and because 15 grams of residual sugar was left behind that I find perfectly supportive. Rhubarb, kiwi, and sweet clover make for an attractively ‘green’ nose and a juicy yet dense, polished, delightfully tingling palate impression accented by hints of artichoke, darkly-roasted coffee, wet stone, and white pepper in a mouthwateringly savory, persistent finish. This ought to keep well for 4-6 years.”
