Reserva Especial Manuel Quintano 2001

The 100% Tempranillo grapes come from a rigorous selection of the winery’s oldest vines, planted in the best vineyard exposures, given increased maceration time, and then aged in American casks for three years. Manuel Quintano Reserva has been hailed as the “new” expression of Rioja, concentrating all those layered flavors for which the region has always been famous.

Tasting Notes

Deep garnet in color, this Reserva shows lovely aromas of blackcurrants, wild berries, vanilla and sweet spice. On the palate, the wine shows vibrant acidity with well-integrated tannins and a long spicy finish.

Food Pairing

Pair with grilled pork tenderloin, cassoulet or paella with lots of chorizo.
