Passadouro Vintage Port 2016

Passadouro Vintage Port is made from a field blend of over 30 indigenous varieties in the schistous, 80-year-old Silval vineyard. The grapes are foot-trodden and fermented in a traditional granite lagar. The wine is aged for two years in 40-year-old Portuguese oak and then bottled, where it will continue to mature.

Tasting Notes

With its deep, rich color, this Vintage Port offers aromas of spice, red currants, blackberry, and black plums. On the palate, it is distinctly concentrated with fleshy, ripe, black fruits. Beautiful acidity and tannins take charge on the dry, stunningly lengthy finish.
