Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay 2014

The Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay is sourced from the original 35 year old Mendosa Chardonnay vines in the Neudorf Home Vineyard. As the premiere flagship white of the estate, the Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay is continually acknowledged as one of the top Chardonnay labels in New Zealand. The hands-off winemaking philosophy of gentle whole bunch press, wild yeast ferment, natural malolactic fermentation and zero filtration allows Neudorf to reflect the terroir in the truest sense. The warm days, cool nights and clay gravel sites of the Moutere Hills lend a thread of mineral acidity to balance the complex, richly textured and concentrated body.

Tasting Notes

A complex medley of flavors including fresh hay, wild flowers, stone fruit, fresh baked bread and bran biscuit, the Neudorf Moutere Chardonnay is a power-packed wine with a seductively smooth texture and lasting finish.

Food Pairing

An ideal accompaniment to an asparagus and broccoli frittata or chargrilled chicken.
