La Pineta

Pinot Noir/Pinot Nero & Pinot Noir-based Blends

Pinot Nero, capable of producing wines of extraordinary elegance and harmony, usually has difficulty in adapting to conditions in Italy. The challenge here was to produce an excellent wine in a land famous for other grape varieties. To succeed, Alessandro Cellai had to approach every single operation with meticulous attention, first in the vineyard and then in the cellar. This wine shows his efforts with beautiful finesse and grace.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red in color, La Pineta shows delicious notes of bright berry fruit, spice and a hint of forest floor. On the palate it is well-rounded and accessible, with lots of juicy fruit and perfect structural balance.

Food Pairing

This food-friendly red would make a superb pairing with roast duck, game hens with cranberry stuffing or chicken fajitas.
