Marlborough Pinot Noir 2008

Yealands Pinot Noir was sourced from a select number of vineyards in the Awatere Valley (Marlborough) and Central Otago. Extended sunshine hours combined with a long, relatively cool growing season resulted in optimal fruit freshness. Yields were restricted by pruning low bud numbers and shoot and bunch thinning ensured fruit quality was fully optimized.

Tasting Notes

This elegant Pinot Noir exudes fresh cherry and spiced red fruit characters with an underlying savoury note. The palate is soft and supple with soft silky tannins.

Food Pairing

Pair with duck confit, smoked salmon feuillete, or veal scallops.
