The Grüner Veltliner Kamptal Terrassen DAC Reserve reflects what the Kamptal region offers at its best in dry white wine. It delivers great fruit concentration and has a high ageing potential. A minimum of 13% alcohol is required for the DAC Reserve category and will not be released before April of the year following the harvest. This wine is sourced from 100% estate owned vineyards. In September, the Grüner Veltliner grapes were selectively harvested. The grapes then went through maceration on the must for some hours, pressed and fermented spontaneously in big wooden barrels. The wine was then bottled after extended fine lees aging.
Ripe spicy-peppery and herbal notes. The clear and fine, juicy fruit along with beautiful acidity make this a very animated and drinkable wine. Because of its structure and intense mineral finish, the medium-body displays a lovely depth.
Perfect for light starters, veal and chicken dishes, even spicy ones.
