Licia Albariño

Albariño bottle image

Wine Description

Lícia is a shortening of Galicia, the autonomía in northwest Spain known for its Celtic influence and overall greenness due to the maritime climate. This refreshing, flavorful white is made from 100% Albariño, sourced from the subzones of Condado de Tea and O Rosal in DO Rías Baixas. Situated along the border with Portugal, vineyards in these subzones benefit from the drier climate and warmer growing season.

Acclaim
"Classic Albarino grapefruit flavors lie at the core of this minerally Galician white. It would be ideal with any sort of seafood, but particularly raw oysters."
— CNN, Mar 2014
“Another Spanish wine worth trying is the 2012 Licia Albariño made by Jose Limeres. It’s a beautiful wine, elegant and complex with pear and citrus notes, a layer of cream and an herbal touch.”
— Today, Apr 2014
