Efeso

Other White Grape or Blend

Librandi is committed to reviving ancient varieties indigenous to Calabria. Efeso is made from 100% Mantonico, one of the many indigenous grape varieties of Calabria that was cultivated for centuries before almost disappearing completely. Efeso (Ephesus), is the name of the Greek colony located in Turkey, from where the Librandi family believes the Mantonico grape originated.

Tasting Notes

Medium-bodied and long-lived, Efeso offers generous flavors of almonds, figs, mandarin orange peel and yellow peaches.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with fish soup, grilled tuna, risottos, white meats and aged cheeses.
