Cirò Rosato DOC bottle image

Wine Description

The vineyards that dot the countryside of the small town of Cirò Marina overlook the Ionian Sea and benefit from cool ocean breezes, thus producing grapes with spicy and floral aromas.  Cirò Rosato is made from 100% Gaglioppo, Calabria's signature variety, selectively harvested in late September into early October.

Acclaim
Here’s a brightly colored Rosato with pink and copper highlights. The 2015 Cirò Rosato is a pure expression of the Gaglioppo gape and it does a great job of underlining the less formal side of Calabria’s most noteworthy red indigenous variety. The bouquet shows subtle tones of wild berry and cassis. The mouthfeel is slightly sweet and soft, but there are pretty menthol and herbal notes that add for a zesty finish.
