Gold Label Gavi DOCG 2009

La Marchesa Gavi Gold Label comes from a careful selection of estate grown grapes which are then vinified at controlled temperatures and aged on the lees for six months. A small portion of the wine (about 10%) is aged for a short period in neutral oak barrels and is blended with the rest before bottling.

Tasting Notes

Bright straw-yellow in color with a bouquet that recalls ripe red apples and wildflowers. This wine, the most prestigious of the Marchesa's wines, has a complex bouquet that is a result of the long refinging on the yeasts.

Food Pairing

This wine pairs well with egg linguine with pesto and toasted pine nuts, bean and vegetable stews or even smoked whitefish.
