Crianza 2011

Made from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown in and around the picturesque village of Labastida, the wine undergoes fermentation in stainless steel followed by one year in American oak and six months in bottle. The combination of thirty-year-old vines and meticulous winemaking makes this an elegant Rioja which offers an unabashed and delicious sense of place.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby-red in color with violet reflections, Labastida Crianza offers delectable notes of ripe black cherry, damson, and a hint of toasted oak. On the palate, the wine exhibits a zestiness with a supple body, medium tannins and a pleasing finish.

Food Pairing

Pair with a variety of foods, like orange-glazed roasted duck, Chateaubriand, or veal marsala.
