Gran Enemigo

Wine Description

In the spectrum of people who pay attention to detail, winemakers are often incredibly detail-oriented.  This can sometimes spill over to become an internal battled, and, as Alejandro Vigil and Adrianna Catena state, "We are our own worst enemy." El Enemigo pays homage to this internal struggle.

Acclaim
“Showing a freshness and fine-boned structure that wouldn’t look out of place in St. Julien or Margaux, this is a blend of the five Bordeaux red grapes, led by Cabernet Franc. Elegant, spicy and refined, with leafy, graphite-scented aromas and cassis and bramble fruit supported by oak.”
— Tim Atkin, May 2017
“Very tight and beautiful wine with blackberry, blueberry and hints of tobacco, spice, and black tea. Full body, dense and powerful. Energy and intensity to this. A blend of cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, and malbec.”
— James Suckling, Jun 2017
