Beginning with meticulous site selection and vineyard design started in 1991, Felton Road's story is one of refusal to compromise. A commitment to hands off winemaking: gravity flow, wild yeasts, wild malo, an avoidance of fining and filtration all help preserve the wine's expression of its terroir. Block 5 is situated on a gentle north facing slope in the heart of The Elms vineyard and was planted in 1993.
Beautifully perfumed with distinct floral aromas of rose petal and violets that are supported by the hallmark dark cherry and spice. The ripeness of the warmer vintage is apparent with slightly softer acidity that allows the wine to flow and expand, creating a sensation of floating in the finest feather duvet. Classically formed with the unmistakable pedigree, finesse and balance that is Block 5.
