Wine Description

A blend of 90% Monica, 5% Carignano and 5% Bovale Sardo grown in the Perdera vineyard. The grapes are harvested in early October and fermented in glass-lined cement tanks. After fermentation, the wine is aged in French oak barrels for five to six months in order to achieve extra elegance and consistent structure.

Acclaim
This tank fermented-aged Perdera is a robust red wine made primarily from the Monica grape, with small amounts of Carignan and several other indigenous varietals. A knock-out value, it possesses a deep ruby color, and a peppery, dried herb, spicy, chocolatey, berry-scented nose. This medium-bodied wine fills the mouth with good fruit, a smooth texture, and a spicy finish.
