Independently owned and operated by three whiskey experts who skillfully honed their craft and then bucked convention, Milam & Greene is a superb example of blending American terroir.
Located in Texas Hill Country, founder Marsha Milam, CEO & Master Blender Heather Greene, and Master Distiller Marlene Holmes source the best grains from Texas, Oregon, Wyoming, and Washington, transporting them to their distillery outside Austin where they use their proprietary yeast recipe to create smooth and aromatic whiskies.

Greene is a leading whiskey expert and author known around the world for her magnetic personality and ability to make whiskey approachable to all. She made waves in 2019 when her YouTube video with Epicurious, "Whiskey Expert Guesses Cheap vs Expensive Whiskey," went viral, drawing over three million views.
Women’s interest in whiskey has certainly been growing and according to 2020 data from the market research firm MRI-Simmons, women now account for approximately 36% of American whiskey drinkers. Milam & Greene’s portfolio offers a variety of flavor profiles to entice both practiced and new palates.

Milam & Greene’s smooth Single Barrel Bourbon is a compelling option for rising enthusiasts at a $56.99 MSRP. Each batch of 280 bottles is created from one carefully chosen barrel.
“Every barrel is unique,” says Greene. “And when it’s gone, it’s gone forever.”
At 86 proof, the Single Barrel Bourbon can be sipped neat or mixed into summer cocktails such as the popular Paper Plane and Kentucky Mule.
Their just-released Very Small Batch Bourbon was Milam & Greene’s first whiskey to be finished in charred French oak staves (which had previously been used for tawny port), adding a sweet elegance to the flavor profile. This premium bourbon—made to be sipped, not stirred—was awarded a Gold Medal at the 2023 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
