Spirits
Welcome to Winebow’s selection of fine artisanal spirit brands from around the world.
Our Philosophy
As a distributor, Winebow has long represented premium wines from every major growing region. More than 28 years ago, founder Leonardo LoCascio began assembling an import portfolio of the most comprehensive collection of Italian wines featuring family-owned properties from all growing regions in Italy. Today, Winebow‘s imported wine portfolio has grown to include new selections from Spain, Portugal, South America and other areas. The recent acquisition of the Click Wine Group added wines from France, Australia and, Germany. In late 2008, Winebow also launched an exclusive line of premium Sake from Japan, again offering the highest quality from small, high quality Sake brewers.

Our Standards
This spirit portfolio has expanded in the last decade, but the decision process has remained consistent. The standards we hold today mirror the same standards we apply to the wine portfolio. The spirit brands we represent include properties that have been under continuous family ownership, in some cases for over 200 years as in Nardini grappa and liqueurs. Other examples include Pitu Cachaça from Brazil, where the current CEO Maria das Vitoria Cavalcante is third generation and the current President of the Cachaca Producers Council in Brazil. The Winebow business model is to provide artisan-produced, premium products from family-owned businesses. Products such as ours need quality representation and distribution by the most highly educated sales staff in the industry. Winebow’s rigorous, comprehensive training program guarantees just that.
Proud Partners
The Winebow selection of Single Malt Whisky includes the highly awarded Bruichladdich distillery, which was founded in 1881 and returned to private ownership in 2000 under the leadership of Mark Reynier and master distiller Jim McEwan. They have been named twice as "Distillery of the Year" from Malt Advocate since 2001 and in 2007 the distillery was honored as "Pioneer of the Year" for their efforts to bring new ideas to the whisky aficionados. As an example of these “pioneering ideas,” Bruichladdich has been using fine wine casks from estates such as Latour and Haut Brion to extra mature their whisky and bridge the gap between the wine and whisky worlds. In the Whisky category, Winebow looks to feature the independents that focus on style, diversity and craftsmanship to stand out from the mass produced products. Springbank and Ben Riach (2007 Distillery of the Year, Malt Advocate) are perfect examples of distillers with a passion for what they produce.

Artisanal Products
Winebow is also looking for the best in the field of new, fine, artisan-distilled products being produced right here in America. Winebow has represented some of the founding fathers in American Craft distilling including Ansley Coale of Germain-Robin who is also now proprietor of Hangar One vodka from California. We were pleased to add the Anchor distilling products from Fritz Maytag including Junipero Gin and Old Potrero Rye Whiskey. The USA is experiencing the same kind of growth in distilling in the first decade of 2000 as the craft beer craze in the1980’s. What will become of this explosion, we can’t tell, but we will be looking to bring the finest of these to our customers. We invite you to peruse this section and decide for yourself.
