At Cerbois, they believe that the ultimate quality of an

stage of production, they are using every possible means to maximize quality.
1) The Best Soil: Grand Bas Armagnac - The best sub-region for
Armagnac
2) The Finest Grape Variety, The "Folle Blance" - Very aromatic &
flavorful
3) A Natural Vinification
4) A Single Distillation - to preserve the fine aromas of the wine
5) A Singular Aging Method.
The Cerbois Armagnacs:
VSOP - 6 to 8 year old. Contains
a great deal of 1988 considered one of the best vintages of the century. Fine
aromas of violet and vanilla with a touch of prune. It is harmonious and well
balanced. |
Reserve Personnelle (RP) - 18 to 22 years old. Based on the outstanding
1974 vintage it has aromas of prune, ripe peach and nuts. On the palate it is
smooth with a great length of taste.
Cerbois also owns an extensive collection of old and rare vintages that
are available on a limited basis. Check with your sales representative.
The Wine Enthusiast gave the Reserve
Personnelle 94 pts and a "Best Buy"
"Deep walnut in color. The nose suggests violets, prunes
and the wonderful aroma, somewhat akin to nail polish, that's present in many
top-quality Armagnacs. The palate is spicy and citrusy, and bears a full, round
note of prunes, and a creamy backdrop of egg custard. The finish is long, spicy
and luxurious.
Quite simply, this is what Armagnac is all about. Sip it neat and discover the
intricacies of this fine, often overlooked style of French brandy."
