Librandi Duca San Felice

Duca San Felice Cirò Rosso Classico Superiore Riserva DOC bottle image

Wine Description

Made from 100% Gaglioppo, a key indegenous varietal. After harvest, the grapes are macerated in contact with the skins for 15 days to ensure greater color and tannin extraction. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks provides explosive fruit flavors and sustained structure. Released on the market after three years of aging.

Acclaim
Medium ruby. Aromas of wild berries, smoked meat and minerals. Medium-bodied and fresh, with delicate red berry flavors joined by a light spiciness and a slightly earthy quality on the moderately long finish, which features dusty, chewy tannins. This should pick up considerable flesh when paired with rich meat dishes.
— International Wine Cellar, Jul 2008
Medium ruby-red. Attractive floral aromas of sour cherry and bergamot. Offers a decent amount of ripe, almost raisiny, red fruits and pleasant tarry notes...
