Kermit Lynch
Importer

Kermit Lynch

Kermit Lynch is a French wine importer based out of Berkley, California.

The well-known wine critic Robert M. Parker, Jr. had this to say about Kermit Lynch in an article from the Washington Post ( November 20, 1985).

"It seems ironic and highly unlikely that the man considered by many to be today's finest importer of French wines works out of Berkeley, California, in the shadow of the booming wine industry 30 miles to the north in Napa and Sonoma Counties.

"His name is Kermit Lynch and in the competitive imported-wine business no one has a better reputation for uncompromising quality and impeccable tasting standards..."

A Kermit Lynch Selection

Robert M. Parker, Jr. also refers to Kermit Lynch as "America's first hippie importer" in a more recent article in his Wine Advocate. (issue #112 - August 31, 1997)

Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant - Saluting 25 years of Excellence
"... One of our country's most important, influential and, dare I say, historically significant importers of wine ... Lynch's success is due largely to his single-minded pursuit of one goal - to guarantee that his wines would taste as good on arrival to America's shores as they did in France .... For over twenty years, many of Kermit Lynch's wines have given me extraordinary pleasure...."
