Zenato

Sergio Zenato Chardonnay Riserva IGT Veneto 2008

Wine Description

Sergio Zenato Chardonnay Riserva is a single vineyard wine from the prized San Benedetto vineyard, the oldest parcel of the Zenato estate. Fermentation starts in stainless steel but is completed in French Allier casks, in which the wine continues to age for four months. This Chardonnay is then refined for another six months in bottle for extra elegance and finesse.

Tasting Notes

Straw-lemon in color with golden reflections, this wine has persistent and rich aromas of vanilla and stone fruit with some exotic underpinnings. Dry and full-bodied on the palate, it exhibits bright notes of ripe apple, yellow peach and vanilla, along with a harmonious structure. This Chardonnay is recommended with grilled swordfish, tuna or herb-roasted chicken.
