Zenato

Lugana DOC San Benedetto 2010

Wine Description

Zenato has isolated a unique clone of Trebbiano which is highly reputed for its distinct, flavorful character.  The Trebbiano di Lugana grapes are sourced from estate vineyards in San Benedetto, a village just south of Lake Garda, between the towns of Desenzano and Peschiera del Garda.  Meticulously fermented in stainless steel, this wine is a perennial favorite among Italian wine lovers who appreciate something off the beaten path.

Tasting Notes

Pale lemon-green in color, San Benedetto Lugana offers delicately appealing notes of peach, citrus, banana, and herbs, which are beautifully accompanied by a crisp acidity and supple body on the palate.  This wine matches a wide choice of food pairings with ease, making it a perfect by-the-glass choice.
