Wine Description

The Tilia wines are made at Bodegas Esmeralda, in the Eastern region of Mendoza. As Argentina's signature Malbec continues to rise in popularity, so too does the quality of the wines being produced. In addition, many winemakers are creating some exciting blends using this grape.

The fruit for this wine was sourced from vineyards int he Eastern and Southern regions of Mendoza with an elevation ranging from 1,968 to 3,937 feet above sea level. The vineyard's soil is sandy loam, and vines enjoy a nothwestern exposure.

Tasting Notes

The nose is full of rich black fruit aromas with light notes of earth and a touch of roasted coffee. The mouthfeel displays concentrated cassis and black raspberry fruit flavors interwoven with a touch of chocolate and sweet spice from light oak aging. The finish shows ripe, silky tannins.
