Terranoble

Reserva Carmenere 2008

Wine Description

This wine is made from 95% Carmenere, complemented by 5% Cabernet Sauvignon that is aged for ten months in  a combination of stainless steel and French and American oak barrels, followed by an additional eight months of aging in bottle for further refinement.

Tasting Notes

This deep-purple Carmenere is marked by sumptuous notes of black cherry, black currant and a slight hint of cedar and eucalypt.  On the palate it shows beautiful balance with fine tannins and velvety mouthful and lots of white pepper and cardamon spice in the finish. Very ideal pairing for lamb or spiced Middle Eastern cuisine.

Reviews

International Wine Cellar - MAR/APR 2010
New Releases from Chile
"Opaque ruby. Red berry, spicecake and floral aromas are complemented by cracked pepper and a hint of herbs. Pliant, juicy red fruit flavors show good depth and are sweetened by a suave vanilla quality. The spicy quality resonates on the finish, which is well-focused and nicely persistent."
