Terre di Talamo

Tempo Morellino di Scansano DOC 2005

Wine Description

A blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Alicante and 5% Cabernet, fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged for three months in barriques.

Tasting Notes

Supple, medium-bodied and fragrant, Tempo is deep ruby-red in color and superbly rich. This is a classic Maremma red, with fruity aromas of cherry and plum on the nose melding beautifully with earthy notes of Mediterranean herbs. On the palate, Tempo offers a solid structure with impressive depth and an ideal balance between alcoholic warmth and tannic weave. Very long and tasty on the finish. Tempo is the perfect match for roasted meats, stews, omelettes and truffle-scented dishes.

"Subtle, closed, whiff of woodsmoke, earth, flowers and spice. Generously peppery fruit, firm tannins, good weight."
