Di Majo Norante

Sangiovese IGT Terre degli Osci 2007

Wine Description

Made from 100% Sangiovese grown in the Sciabolone and Martarosa vineyards and harvested in late October. The wine is aged in large oak barrels for six months in order to achieve greater smoothness and softness while preserving the supple fruity flavors of Sangiovese.

Tasting Notes

This Sangiovese exhibits a fresh bouquet of violets, woodland berries, spices and leather. Deliciously smooth, plush and juicy on the palate with loads of ripe fruit, Di Majo Sangiovese is recommended with pasta, pizza, sausages, parmigiana and grilled meats. A tremendous value and one of Winebow’s blockbusters!

“Here’s a highly recommendable Sangiovese-based wine from Molise in Southern Italy. It’s a well-made wine with soft and plush notes of black cherry and milk chocolate with a rich, succulent finish. It’s perfect for stay-home family dinners by the fire.” – Monica Larner

"The 2007 Sangiovese is made in a super-ripe, racy style, with plenty of forward, plump fruit. In the glass, notes of earthiness, spices and tobacco emerge, adding further complexity. I loved this soft-textured Sangiovese for its sheer appeal."
