Wine Description
Made from 95% Glera (formerly known as Prosecco) and 5% Chardonnay grapes sourced from select vineyards around the hills of Conegliano. The first fermentation takes place after a brief maceration, which enhances the typical citrus and tropical aromas of the Glera grapes. These intense, fruity aromas are preserved through the second fermentation, which takes place in large temperature-controlled stainless steel containers.

"Here’s another terrific no-fuss Italian sparkler with a tight, tonic mouthfeel. There’s nice linearity and coherency to the aromas that recall stone fruit and lemon drop."

"This is an excellent introduction to prosecco; bone dry with lovely aromas of fruit, citrus peel and toasted almond. Note that Zefiro All'Ombra Dei Prosecco, the restaurant version of Zardetto, is the same wine in a prettier package."

"Fun, fruity and flavorful, prosecco is made from a grape of the same name and fermented in stainless-steel tanks....prosecco offers good acidity and a refreshing quality that’s great as an aperitif or with a meal. It also makes a mean mimosa. Spumante on the label means the wine is fully sparkling, and frizzante means lightly sparkling."
