Moncalvina Moscato d'Asti DOCG 2009

Wine Description

This lightly sweet and sparkling wine is made from 100% Moscato Bianco di Canelli, the most highly regarded clone in the Moscato family, fermented at low temperature in stainless steel. One of the few DOCG-level dessert wines, Moscato d’Asti is probably the most popular choice at wine bars and restaurants throughout Italy, due in large part to its versatility, lively style and uncomplicated profile.

Tasting Notes

Straw-yellow in color with a delicate perlage, the wine is brimming with delicate peach, pear and orange citrus blossom notes, so characteristic of Moscato. Captivating and fun to drink, Moncalvina is a classic pairing for brunch, particularly recommended with light pastries, or simply on its own.
