Castello di Bossi

Berardo Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG 2007

Wine Description

The Castello di Bossi estate is located in the commune of Castelnuovo Berardegna in the southernmost tip of the Chianti Classico zone. Berardo is a shortened way of saying "it comes from Berardegna."  The commune's southerly location typically produces warm, juicy, yet well structured Chiantis and Berardo is no exception.

Tasting Notes

Luminous ruby-red in color with spicy aromas of wild berries, tobacco, tamarind and a hint of menthol. On the palate, Berardo is almost creamy in texture with a fine-grained structure that is powerful without being aggressive. Recommended with roasted or barbecued meats, stews, casseroles and sausages.
