Bisceglia

Armille Syrah IGT Basilicata 2009

Wine Description

The Bisceglia estate extends over a picturesque hillside rich in flora and fauna, near volcanic Mount Vulture. The Mediterranean microclimate here makes this an ideal location for the production of this international red, made entirely from hand-harvested Syrah, which spends four months maturing in barriques. The name 'Armille' refers to decorative bronze bracelets that date back to the Middle Ages which were found in the vineyards.

Tasting Notes

Ruby-red with deep violet hues, Armille has vibrant aromas of blackberries and currants. Fresh and lively on the palate with smooth, fine-grained tannins, this  versatile wine can be paired with steak, pot roast, roasted poultry, rabbit and semi-ripe cheeses.
