Barolo Vigna Croera di La Morra 2004

Wine Description

Made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes selected from the Croera di la Morra vineyard. he grapes are harvested in early October. After crushing, the must is macerated with the skins for 20 days in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine is transferred to large, 6 to 7 year old oak barrels for 30 months. The result is a benchmark Barolo, offering smooth, ripe fruit flavors perfectly balanced with lively acidity and refined tannins.

Tasting Notes

Intense brick red in color, Barolo Croera offers aromas of spices, mint, anise, herbs and cocoa. Very balanced and elegant it is the perfect match for stews and polenta with truffles.
