Bruno Giacosa

Barbera d'Alba DOC 2008

Wine Description

Made from 100% Barbera d'Alba fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve the intense aromas typical of this grape. Maceration lasts for 14 days with several pumpovers daily for fuller color extraction. The wine is aged in large French oak barrels for 11 months, then refined and filtered prior to bottling.

Tasting Notes

This dry, well-balanced Barbera offers spicy flavors of cedar, dried fruits, cherry and licorice. Ripe and round on the palate with rich texture and remarkably long finish, this Barbera is recommended with roast beef, steaks, ribs and other meat dishes.
