La Grola IGT Veronese 2008

Wine Description

Named after the single vineyard from which the grapes are sourced, this Veronese classic is a blend of 80% Corvina Veronese and 20% Syrah. La Grola is considered one of the most prestigious vineyards in the Valpolicella region, due to its combination of chalky clay soil and high elevation. The wine is aged 16 months in French oak, and spends an additional 10 months in the bottle for added finesse.

Tasting Notes

Opaque ruby red in color with arresting aromas of wild berries, juniper, tobacco and coffee. On the palate, the wine is rich, elegant and full-bodied. Pairs perfectly with roast steak, lamb or veal.
