March 4, 2009 - Carlos Hubner-Arteta, Winebow’s National Spanish Wine Director, was inducted as Ambassador of Honor by the Knighthood of Cava Sant Sadurní

L.A. Lakers NBA player, Pau Gasol, was named Ambassador of Cava by the Knighthood of Cava Sant Sadurní during a ceremony last week at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel.  At the event, Carlos Hubner-Arteta, Winebow’s National Spanish Wine Director, was also inducted as Ambassador of Honor.

The honorees participated in a medieval-influenced ceremony  that included the wearing of traditional capes, an official bottle opening and tasting, an oath of knighthood, and the tap of a sword on the should of each inductee.

The Knighthood of Cava Sant Sadurní was established in 1979. Forty members of this association and special guests attended this event, which featured a selection of Cavas, including Juvé y Camps.
